My question is - Where can I find one without buying an entire seal/gasket kit? Also, I've read the long lip seals are better than the short ones used in the factory, is there a big difference here? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom and welcome to the forum. You can probably get one from a local tranny shop near you. When I rebuilt my tranny, the local shop was very generous and helpful with some suggestions. You may even find it on the net. Dave at tripleedgeperformance.com can probably help you out also and I like to thank Dave for his advice as I was putting mine back together.

As for the lip, there is a definite physical difference and the longer lip creates a better seal. So much so, that the original short lip seals have been replaced with the longer lip in aftermarket kits.

You may already know this, but to get to the reverse servo requires removing the exhaust crossover pipe. You will probably have to remove the rear exhaust manifold because the junction point between the crossover and rear exhaust lies directly over the servo. Not to bad of a job; just a little time.

Good luck with your repair!
