Not a problem.
Top was an as-cast finish minus what looks like the springs on top of the pistons spinning and grinding into it as well as the pin that sits through the piston.
The top has three protrusions inwards from the main bore. The end closest to the piston appears to have wear from the piston coming into contact with it.
However the pistons appeared just like the picture Dave has provided in his "shift kit install" under the FAQ section.
By that I mean there is a bevel on the top lip.
