Last pan drop was two years ago when I took ownership at 75 K miles. Presently at 88 K miles. Fluid used both times was Dex VI.
This time around I installed a Transgo shift kit from Dave at TEP.
Great to deal with, fast shipping and so on.
Heres the pan:
Not bad considering I was expecting clutch everywhere.
When installing shift kit I found the following unusual:
In the bores of the "lid" there are three protrusions, the top edges have all been ground down at roughly a 45* angle.
Also wear at the points where the springs and rods touch the bores.
Other half of bore had a nice mirror finish.
Scotchbrite then cleaned it out and new seals.
Transmission seems to shift as good as it did when Will had high line pressures in the PCM. Lowered it as he felt it was shifting too harsh.
WOT shift took 350 ms, now 250 ms.
All other shifts are 125-225 ms with the odd exception around 500-700 ms.
Far better than 275-500 ms with an exception of 1000-2000 ms.
Thoughts on the wear in the accumulator?
