    Wondering if a 2005 Grand Prix 3.8 non-supercharged transmission will work in my 97 GTP. Any help is appreciated.

    Don't think so as the gear ratio in the GT trans is different. Someone may correct that though. And of course its a non-HD diff as well.

    it's a different plug and the 97 gt was vacuumed control
    so you'll need to block off that tube

    not all 97's were vacuum. Only the early ones. Late model 97's were the 65e.

    He also has a 97 GTP not a GT. But they are diff gear ratios
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.

    a top swap on a non hd trans will kill that trans in a month or two

    so i would say no

    couldn't he swap the diff from the hd to the non hd, as long as thats not what blew up in the old trans?
