I'm in agreement, likely it's the 4th splines and potentially a clogging filter. Likely it's not the tc or the valve body/pcs, but that doesn't make the overall repair of the 4th splines much easier.

is that something "easy" to replace?
If by "easy" you mean tearing the trans. down to get to it, then yes![]()
