Ive got a 2000 Daytona and the button turns the light on but it shifts at the same same point and shifts arent noticably firmer. What could be wrong?

Nothing, that's the way the stock setup is tuned. Shifts might be 100-200 higher and likely not noticeable.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

pretty much. get the car tuned and it will always be in 'performance shift' mode.

ahh ok i fugured it would be a little more noticable like ive seen 0-60 and 0-80 funs online on stock cars and they shift higher than mine. No big deal really i was just wondering if its supposed to be a little more noticable than it aprently is. Im going to soon go with the 3.4 setup anyways which obviously included a retuned PCM.

the stock tach is usually off at least a couple hundred RPM and get worse the more wear is on the transmission.
