No I haven't tried that. I will be putting in the air tomorrow night so I will before that. Would there be any correlation between it going away while in neutral and at exactly 15 mph?

The speed could be a shift occuring. You can try putting the car in tapshift mode and keep it in the same gear through this mph and see if it changes. If it is just in Drive mode then it may just be a downshift while coasting and with different clutches/components applied inside the transmission it can effect when the noise occurs.
