Go with the transgo, intense or thrasher before considering ZZP or wbody store. I have the wbody store one and its fine but I will be swapping it out for the transgo.

I have the ZZP which is just a bunch of spacers that you install in the accumulator. The ZZ kit decreased the time between shifts but my goal was to eliminate the treaded P1811 hardshift issue which the kit did along with 2 external tranny coolers. I wasn't interested in shift firmness or real performance. I am thinking of replacing the ZZ spacers with a trango kit which includes spacers and new springs for the accumulator. I would definitely go with the Transgo for performance. I just put a Trango shift kit in my 1994 Mustang GT AODE tranny and holy smokes, what a difference in the shift crispness! Trango all the way.
dave uses thrasher, so seeing as he built my tranny, thats what i have... i love it.
IIRC thrasher and transgo are the same style kit.
Thrasher is more money ( 90-110 )and you might get a new free t-shirt
Transgo is more widely used IMO and cheaper ( 50-70 )
TEP sells them on there site and I know a few guys on here that have TEP trans and they all have the transgo kits.
I am sure others will chime in too.

Running the trans-go kit here. Love the shifting. It's firm and quick but not harsh at all.
We have always used Transgo shift kits in our rebuilds since they were available, we have never used the Thrasher kits. This info is currently and has always been on our website in the transmission rebuild details. The original Thrasher shift kits were made by Transgo but they later changed to a kit put toghether with different parts which is also what Intense shift kits use. All three kits are good kits, BUT the Transgo kit out of the box is not a performance shift kit. It will quicken shift times but is not intended for firmer shifts. There is a lot more to quicker and firmer shifts than just a shift kit and our performance rebuilds have numorous other internal changes and modifications to create the shift firmness level we try to best match for the application. Also keep in mind that the PCM tune has a big effect in transmission performance and how it will shift light, part, and full throttle and ultimately tells the transmission what to do. The ZZP and Wbody store shift kits are simply a set of nylon spacers that can be picked up from a hardware store and there are numorous threads on gp forums for DIY shift kit instructions. They do help shorten the shift times but the factory accumulator springs are very weak and these two kits do not address this or include upgraded springs. When you put a spacer in the accumulator with a weak spring it just reaches a stopping point- or bottoms out faster and then you achieve max pressure to the clutch pack and lose all cushion from the spring. The Transgo kit includes a much improved progressive spring setup, as does the Intense and Thrasher kits and this is the better way to go. Additional spacers can be added to the Transgo kit to produce firmer shifts, but again you can only accomplish so much without going inside the transmission and working on the tune. All of the kits out there will help and make a difference, the Transgo, Intense, and Thrasher kits will have a better shift quality

Something I have meant to do for a while, just short on time as always, but would there be interest to you guys if I put together a bit more of a complete kit with a Transgo kit, extra spacers and instructions, gasket, new accumulator seals, filter, and all ready to install?
