I have a transmission that does not have perfect shift mode meaning there is no button on the shifter. Does anyone know what you have to do in order to add perfect shift mode?

You have it. The 97-00 cars had the button, the 01 plus have it put into the cars PCM to activate when the throttle is pressed down more than 3/4--WOT. So no need for the button.

    Performance Shift maybe?
Either way, it might just be missing the correct knob. Check it and see if there wire is there.

I completely missed the fact that your car was an 02, so what FFDP said is correct.

You'd need to run the wire, then have more aggressive tables put into the perf shift mode in the PCM.

    Its not worth it.

A good tranny tune alone would be better.

a nice progressive one that switches between smooth for light throttle to harsh when you're in the gas.
