Thread: trans

so the other day i blew an axle and decided to tow the car home.when i went to replace the axle i noticed a hole in the tranny from the axle hitting it.i took the tranny apart and changed the plate that covers the chain.all back together now and no 1st,wont shift from 2nd to 3rd(have to manually shift)and no fourth.so my question is how did i eff this thing up?oh yeah before i forget i found a steel rod about 2" long with like a furled end in the pan of fluid when i was done.

figured it out after i tore into it again.working perfect now.
