This problem is not that uncommon in these transmissions. Unfortunately many Aamco trans shops do things as cheap as possible and get a bad reputation quick for this and will haunt them even if they sell to a new owner. Im not saying they are all like this because it is a franchise chain and there are some very reputable ones out there. We do have an article about this problem on our website in the problem section but honestly sounds like a worn input clutch apply piston, that is if they actually replaced the pcs since it sounded like the first time around they did not. Some shops dont even take apart the clutch drums during a rebuild if the frictions arent burnt but again thats just how the game is played when shops try to move volume and make top $$, things are overlooked. Regardless the cause there is very little you can do short of tearing into the transmission.
Yeah, a full year. I got tired of taking it back and spending money on rentals and what not. I was going to take it to you but I needed the car back quickly......Turns out I would have spent the same amount and had my car back faster....Live and learn. I could have sworn I tried using 1st and it still slipped. Well in any event it does not slip when I use 1st. Too bad I figured it out after the warranty expired.

What can I expect to pay to have this issue fixed? Probably not even worth the money huh?
