    car shifts hard and bogs like its locking up what causes this please help it is a grand prix gt
    01 GTP is3 cam 130 springs double roller 60lb injectors lq4 maf headers 4000 stall lowered
    sold 97 GTP stock
    Sold 2001 gp gt ssm90 plog dp 3.8 208 whp 265 at the crank 14.8 1/4

    ok well i put the car into drive and it goes in hard then i accell slow to 2and and then the rpms drop to 1000 and the tac bounces a couple hundred rpm even when its hot i think the torq converter is locking up so what would cause hard shift and torq converter lock up

    sounds like maybe your trans is going into limp mode causing it to lock it up so it doesn't over heat and also shifting hard so it doesn't heat up as well. I could be wrong. We'll wait until someone else.

    If you have a tuner.. reset the code. No tuner then pull the battery cables for fifteen minutes to reset code and try again.

    did that code whent away but still same think i gotta replace tranny or a new converter and tcc might try a flush there might be chunkies in there changed like 200 ks a go
