    I'm new here,my problem is if i stop at a light or something and start to go again it slips then bangs into 1 and the same into 2 but other gears are good. I took it to a shop and we drove it for 20min and it shifted great.So they changed the filter and fluid.When i picked it up of course slipped alittle into 1 once but shifted great the rest of the way.I guess i need to have it scanned? HELP

    get the car scanned by a transmission shop and they will tell you whats going on. You will probably have a P1811 code.

    Thank you, the guys at the only dealership around here are jerks but i can deal with them if thats the only place to go.What is the p1811 just so i know, if you dont mind. THANKS ALOT!!!!

    Just got the car scanned today at AAMCO they said it is a Boost Solenoid A / Boost Control circuit P0243. They said it would be around $380 to fix.I'm gonna start looking around for some info if anyone knows of any and could hook me up that would be STELLER!!

    You sure its not a shift kit. Alot of people mistake a slip and a bang for a shift kit.

    I guess it's possible, all i know is what aamco said.It never shifted all that great when i got the car.I mean there were never any problems before, but doesn't feel like there is a kit in there.I hope not cause i just ordered one today from intense.I still have alot to learn our cars.I'm sure i'll have ALOT more questions really soon.I never said,I have a 99 gtp stock except for a kick a** fwi. It has 135000 miles on it now it wasn't taken very good care of before,but it's WELL loved now.
