If your stock trans was shifting "hard" before the rebuild it was most likely due to it having some issues, so now if it is fixed properlly it shouldn't shift like it did before. You got to remember these trans were programmed to have long soft shifts so no one would notice it shifted in case someone was drinking coffee in your passanger seat. Even with the transgo shift kit you aren't going to get neck breaking shifts, after all they aren't in the busniess of breaking things. Aamco is a different breed of transmission builder. They have their own rebuild kits that consist of nothing. They for some reason get different rules on what a rebuild is. They can charge extra for a band, but the rest of us have to cover every wearable componet, which is how it should be. Are you sure you got a rebuild, and not a repair? Most Aamco's don't do full rebuilds, unless you pay over 3 grand.

No that u mention it i thin it was a repair but a lot of stuff was replaced. Tranny got dropped on a concrete driveway when it got driven into a stupid ditch. Yea thats how it shifts now but i thought with the 4T65E-HD tranny when the performance shift was on it was supposed to shift a little quicker and harder? Please correct me if im wrong.

If you still have a stock pcm in the car you wont notice a whole lot of difference between performance shift being on or off. The shift points are higher with it on and the shift firmness is a slight change. The aftermarket pcms make a lot of changes in this area and you will notice a difference when it is on and they also raise the shift points while perf shift is on.
