I have a 2001 Regal Gs. I have i have a tuner and a few other mods. Nothing to much. I have been having a problem with my trans only when its cold. It wont shift out of first correctly. Then once it has shifted once it will be fine till it sits for a long while. Just wondered if anyone else experienced anything along these lines or if anyone has any info. Thanks in advance.

Change the fluid and filter. Sounds like worn out tranny fluid. When its cold, the tranny fluid is really thick and sticky but when it's warm, it thins out alittle so it's more flow being applied. Sound right anyone?

Before you go doing a full trans rebuild, do some simple things like putting a stock trans tune back in, checking the fluid, and changing the fluid and filter. These things can go a long way in correcting some problems. If that doesn't fix the issue, then you can look deeper. But try those first.

I have fresh fluid in it. A clogged filter would make sense. I think that will be my next step. It could be a rebuild situation. I hope not because lack of money and nowhere to change it. Thank you for all the help guys.
