I realize i've come off as a prick no it all and haven't really been making much sense to anyone, but I'd like to start over. I do have a slight chip on my shoulder, because the last forum when I owned my chevy truck fullsizechevy.com they contradicted me called me an idiot and really it's unecisary to call someone dumb who is just trying to help. You don't have to belive me that I know a thing or two about transmissions, in fact I'm not a gm specialist, but I do rebuild transmissions and gm trannies are about 75percent of my business. I do it all though ford, dodge, honda etc.etc. I just purchased a 97grand prix gt that's why i'm here to get the goods on how to get this car in action. I just thought it's only fair that if I ask for info I should at least try to give what I have to offer in return. Can you come to my shop for a tranny rebuild? Yes, am I here to get you as a customer? No.
I don't do bench jobs for one, and for another I got an attitude problem when it comes to catering to peoples needs. I do things one way... MY WAY. I know it's stubborn, but I don't have time for comebacks. If I see a post I think I can help with I'm going to give it to you strait up... if you don't like it don't read it. I was taught to do things by the book so I quit that job and wrote my book, it's not the right way it's my way everybody does things different

Just so you know, I am not pissed at you either. I don't get upset easily. And yes, everyone has their own opinions and ways to do things. But I often state them as such. I won't say, no, you are wrong, this is the way to do it. I simply say, well, here is another way to do it, the way I do it. And let everyone else decide. I have been in many different discussions over many things in the grand prix forums. And I am just as stubborn as the next guy. But I just state my side and let everyone else decide for themselves. No biggie. So don't worry, you didn't piss me off.

But what I don't like is people spewing mis-information. Many have come and gone and done this. And asserted they were correct. When they were not. You have not done this. It is just one of my pet peeves.

Dude, seriously, thank you! Your credibility just went up a notch with me. Anyone able to openly come in and say okay, maybe I come off a way I did not intended deserves a second chance. Congrats to you bud.

For what its worth, you never ticked me off either, Im just kinda protective of people around here. Honestly I truly want to build a community here that everyone plays a part in, reaps the rewards from but also is willing to get down and dirty and help out a fellow member, even if they dont always see eye to eye or always agree with that member. Those things should be set aside in times of need.

So, allow me this opportunity to ask for forgiveness of you if I have come across in a wrong way. I apologize if I have.

I am glad to see this post and I hope that you can help out on here. I have been in the GP community for over 5 years now offering transmission advice, tech tips, parts, and rebuilds. I have been building for over 10 years now and like yourself I used to build everything as I started out in a two man shop working for a very well known and reputable guy in the area the worked at the BIG local shop for over 25 years and started his own trans shop. I was overwelmed working with him and since it was a small shop with a lot of business often I built what came in the door when he was busy, then he passed away in mid 01 and I became co-owner of business working with someone else. You name it, Ive probably built it. I learned a lot of the tricks-of-the-trade from the industry and dumped many of them off as they were good for making money and speeding up the process but my priority is 100% satisfaction and I dont have time for problems so things have to be A+ when the go out the door. If you have questions yourself please ask we are all here to help out. Sorry if you catch some scruff for mentioning thigns on here and people dont agree, I have a very strong rep for helping out as I now specialize with 4T65Es though I still build it all as that is what I was always known for, that and high performance builds for near all domestics. Just treat people on here how you want to be treated and they will return the favor. Acting like 19SE92 has on this forum will get you nowhere around here so keep disrespect and arguments off the boards as that does nobody any good and just starts fires and in the end nobody wins. Every trans builder/tech has his own methods and I know you are well aware of the how problems can eat you up. I am a one man show and dont have time for problems so I go over everything multiple times and replace a lot more than really is needed so I dont have to worry about them, though we are all human and make mistakes! I pride myself in excellence and meticulousness. I am really laid back and like others on here hard to push the wrong buttons, but again this forum is here to help others out and not turn everything into an arguement. I hope you can help out in this community and it will be appreciated to those who listen
