    I have a 98 GTP with a bad transmission and I was wondering if one out of a 99 regal gs will work. Thanks for any help!!!

    You would need a tune they have a different gear ratio.

    Can I change the gears very easy? Do they come out of the pass. side or do you have to take the hole trans apart?

    *sigh* They have the same gear ratio.

    The only thing to watch out for would be the cooler line fittings, your 98 is going to have threaded fittings, where the 99 could be either threaded for quick connects.

    I thought for sure they have different gear ratios.
