I know its possible to swap a supercharged 3800 into a non supercharged gp but i also know there are certain things that must also be swapped and was wondering what those things would be...I know you need the PCM and probably new or custom axles right? what else? and also the engine and tranny that I was looking at on ebay was from a comp g so for the tap shift to work would i need just the steering wheel or the whole column too? any advice would be greatly appreciated becuase my tranny is leaking and slipping and I think my head gaskets are going so I could definitely use a new engine and tranny over the winter...or do you think it would just be easier to use an L67 with non hd trans and hd diff and axles?

For the motor you'll need a few things.. Fuel rail of an L67 (l32 is returnless), L67 TB (L32 TB is drive by wire), and maybe a few other things i'm forgetting off the top of my head. Stuff you'll need to hold onto if you decide to keep the stock GT trans is the flexplate since they use a 245mm convertor while the HD trans has a 258mm convertor.

To my knowledge the newer 03+ transmissions will not work with older GP's due to different pumps, valvebodies, tap shift, etc. That being said, using a HD trans requires no modification. You just need to replace the passenger axle as the GTP uses a larger differential

thanks for the info... I think im going to go with an L67 with a non hd trans for the gearing and and hd diff and axles. that should be a good start... all i need for the L67 is the pcm right?
