Right, two different processes. Drop the pan and get most of the oil, or flush and rely on the machine that it got it all, including from the trans cooler.

Personally I am not sure what to say. It is kind of like A) leave it alone, B) drop the pan and see what is happening. Put it back together regardless of what you find and drive on, or C) do a flush and keep an eye on it.

I am not sure what I would do either. LOL!!!!

Possibly the discolored oil was just that it was the original and dirty. The clean mixed with some of the old, and still darkened it. Do another pan drop or flush and it may restore it back to the cherry red.

If it is driving just fine, then chances are good the trans is still OK...

And Zef 66 is right about the filter. When I drop the pans I always put in a new filter but that is me. Some don't, they only do just after the first pan drop, which also seems OK since it is a small micron filter and unless clogged, will last a liong time with clean fluid, but either way, did the first pan drop tech also chage the fitler?
