last night on the on ramp to the highway going about 30mph, i punch it, and it downshifts to first like normal, but as its pulling it really slips bad. its like it would grab, and slip out again like 4-5 times, i dont really know how to explain it. you could really feel it surge and buck. it only happens at WOT. Oh also, when you're going about 50-55mph and as it shifts into 4th it kinda slips and revs the motor before it shifts, but its always done that. the WOT thing just started last night.

fluid level was about half a quart low and it smelled kinda burnt not horribly but noticeable, i topped it up and its still doing the same thing. on another note could i use a tranny out of a gt to get the 3.29s? or should i just get a junkyard gtp tranny and put it in for now and build my broken trans with good parts and 3.29s.

sounds to me that that trans has about had it at this point. sounds like it could have started as torque converter/lockup issues and escalated from there. regardless... find yourself a gt trans, swap your hd dif and dif cover onto it put in the gt torque converter and mate it to a drilled l67 flexplate. you will thank yourself
96 z/28 headers, cam, 3.73's, n2o, etc. - cant wait to bring her outta storage.
99 gtp 3.0 nic l32 built trans and susp. sold
