Well I can say is that we had to be sure we gave him every opportunity to come around. One of the things we desired to avoid with this site was the clubgp approach where you try and sign in one day and find yourself banned without knowing why or having been given an opportunity to correct things. The Clubgp approach seemed to be we'll send a PM and then ban ya. Thats great if you dont want to be held accountable for your actions.

Here we wanted to make sure our actions stand up to the scrutiny (for the most part, there will always be those that disagree) of the community. In that regard, the community plays a big part in this. Using the Reputation option to note when people are making good contributions and bad ones. You guys need to be using this a lot. It helps, trust me. Dont leave a Reputation comment for the same person over and over, but when you see someone that has come a long way in their understanding, or is making efforts to contribute as best they can or posts valuable information, take the time to click on that icon and leave a positive comment. Likewise, if the situation warrants it, leave a disapproving comment. Just make sure the comment isnt something you wouldnt mind seeing or others reading on the front page of a newspaper. In other words, be tactful, respectful but to the point and detailed.

We also rely on PM's from the community. If you see something that is questionable, do not hesitate to PM me or one of the other Admins or Moderators. When we get such notices, the Admins and Moderators can discuss what needs to be done.

That all said, we have followed the rules we outlined for the community. That is to say once you get so many infractions you make it to the banned list. Once that course of action was taken, he (19SE92) stopped showing up around here, at least under that screen name. Of course if it is discovered he has more than one account then that would result in a bad situation for him.

I would have preferred that he would have started being a positive contributor to the community, but it seems that is not what he wanted to do. When we started taking steps to show him we were serious, he stopped showing up.
