Put the shifter in "3" and you'll get no overdrive. As simple as it gets.

The button on the shifter is for Performance Shift, it shifts a little quicker and at slight higher RPM.

some folks have drove a while with this condition. i hear there is something that strips out inside the trans that has to do with fourth gear. thats what our overdrives are is 4th gear and a tcc lock up. unfortunatly there are some folks who get this condition and know that the trans is on its way out. i had my first hand experience it took me o a month to kill the trans lol i got the car with no 4th gear so who knows how long it drove b4 i did the damage. do some research on this site and there is some info on replacing this bad piece and making the trans work right. its not easy. i hear it can be done in the car. just start to prepare yourself and maybe look for a used trans or even a rebuilt one. as most people know the "triple edge performance" advantage stands out on this site and on the reliability and durability. keep us updated.

That switch is not for overdrive. That controls performance shift. If you don't want overdrive you put it in "3", not "D". That's how you tell it what you "prefer".
