i have a 97 grand prix gtp needs a tranny and i have a tranny from a 99 grand prix gtp. will the 99 tranny work in my 97 car with no problems?

i just put a 97 into my 2000 only difference was the cooler lines. my brother just put a 97 into a 99 and he said the cooling lines were the same so worst case is the lines are different.
