I did get a few weird shifts yesterday...only happened at about 1/4 throttle. It usally will not shift that hard even though its commanded to in the pcm, but it just slamed a few times into gear (2-3) out of the blue after the flash. Then went back to it normail

I'd check around and see if you can find a different stock PCM, and change only what you need to accomodate the 3.29's it's a long shot but perhaps something is actually wrong with the pcm that a rewrite is not fixing

The NA 3800s for 97 still got the 4T60E but not the SC engines. The electrical connector is different also so it wouldnt have swapped in place of it without seeing something really stand out that wouldnt work.
Good to know trannyman, thanks. Knew I heard something about that but just couldn't remember.

That is possible, I'll have to grab one from my buddy and give ity a try. I did have a issue in the past with a couple bad flashes.

Are you referring to the Check Engine light coming on during the flash, but goes away once you start the car? If so, that is completely normal.

^^No, after a flash and you cycle the key and start the car, the check engine light goes on

Are you still using the original/ correct pcm for the car? I know DHP allows flashing different year pcms that dont have the correct OS / year match but they will work and sometimes have side effects. Are you checking the code with your DHP or an actual scan tool? Often there are other codes that arent supported by the tuners and only a full scan tool will say what is going on.

Yea, it's the original pcm that cam with the car. I've tried checking the code with DHP but nothing shows...says "no codes found". Never tried a scan tool before. I figured it's probably a flashing glitch since it never caused a issue that I've seen...could be a bcm or bus controller code i guess. But after clear the code it never shows again till I reflash again.
