how has it worked for you? What are your tranny temps like now after the install?
well i can basically drive around all day ripping around and my trans temps stay around the 150-180 range all day, even in 100* weather. Before my temps would get to 200* within 15-20 minutes of really light driving, by the time i get to the highway to open it up, my trans would get to 210* .
The only thing is, in the morning i have to let it warm up longer so tcc will lock. It just takes a bit longer to get to 80*, rather than before.
I had a leak but, i easily fixed it. The directions said it might leak within the first 100 miles or so. Just keep an eye on it. It leaks where the fittings are on the tranny cooler itself.
Another note, im not sure how you fmhe guys would go about mounting this one. I guess ill have to figure it out too, down the road.
so what did you have to do to fix the leaks........did you just snug up the AN fittings on the cooler or ?
cool.............so you think it is saving you 20-30* when it is up to temp then?
The TCC will not lock up until the tranny fluid is around 100*F, so keep this in mind in the winter time. I cover my tranny cooler in the winter time just for this reason.
LOL...not much of a winter comapred to you guys. I had some reflectix laying around that I zip tied to the front of the cooler. It helped just enough for the trans to warm up a bit faster. I am talking about temps in the 20s at highway speeds not below 0 like you guys get.
It will be in the 20's here by October.....not every day, but it will towards the end.
Tcc will lock at 80* according to trannyman. I usually let it warm up till about 80-82*, before i start driving.
I am remember getting my car put back together last winter. I was bleeding the cooling system out side and it was -25 plus a wind chill.
