I have the ZZP shift kit, I'll never get it again. $30 for a few plastic pieces??? I even had to buy my own gasket......

Intense looks a lot better, I'd get that over the ZZP shift kit any day.

You could go down and for $5 get the materials to make your own, exactly like the zzp one. Its all it is, get over it. Professional guys have been doing this longer than most of you have been alive. I know you hate zzp but lets keep this on a professional basis as the actual workings of a product.
He's right, these are just spacers we're talking about. I know the transgo and intense kits do come with springs which are different spring rates. I know this because I compared the accumulator springs when I rebuilt it.

Blue91 I know you and mini aren't the best on terms right now, but try not to let it spill into other threads. Lets keep the drama out and keep this site informative.

I have the TransGo kit. It's cheap, has good instructions, and works great! I am curious about adding a shim where they don't have one.

Yeah thats what you want for a firmer 1-2 shift. That's how mine is setup and is better.

I had the wbodystore kit which was great for quick shifts. The transgo kit on the other hand has better springs for a more progressive shift. For some reason they leave out one of the spacers for the 1-2 accumulator. So I just reused my wbodystore kit spacer which uses them.

Is the wbodystore shift kit ok? I'm thinking of getting it with the sale deal for the motor mounts.

The WBS kit is the same as the ZZP kit, which is the same as the OKCGP DIY shift kit.

My trans. has 112K on it, should I put a shift kit on before I get tuned? Will this help extend the life of the trans. or shorten it?

yes! it will help to extend the life of the tranny. less slipping, friction, wear and heat. you just don't want a bang shift.

It will be a harder shift...it will not be a smooth soft shift from one gear to the next. You will be happy with the outcome.

Yeah mine sort of does that now, so the shift kit will make it smoother?
