I took my car to a pro to get it tested and they daid definitely internal and left it at that. The problem is this. the first time I drive my car for the day it is fine. If i wait like 8-9 hours to drive it it drives fine. But if I were to say go to the store and and come back out a half hour later this would happpen. If I start my car and shift all the way down to one and then up to drive it runs fine, but if I were to put my car in reverse and then to drive to go forward it will slip and slip and slip and right about the time i smell burning it will start to catch and eventually go, but it will slip at every light unless i shift back to one and then back to drive..... very weird. Nobody can seem to figure it out. My trannd has 176,000 miles on it. I did a tranny filter and fluid change in hopes of a simples cure....but to no avail. I checked the fluid level this morning and it is good. I will check the vaccum hose tomorrow. On a side note my SES light came on about 2 weeks ago and the scanner at autozone said TPS. I changed the TPS and cleaned the throttle body. Now the SES is back on throwing the same code. Right about the time the SES came back on my tranny decided it won't shift until 3-4 thousand RPMS. I am gonna look and the EGR and Intake air valve tomorrow as well. i am thinking the SES is related to one or both of those and that may also be the cause of the high RMP shift, otherwise its coincidence and the tranny is getting worse. I cannot afford for the tranny to go out so any ideas and recomendations would we truly appreciated. Thanks and glad to be a new member. Have a nice day!
