I'm thoroughly happy with it. Anyone looking for a good kit to make up for the shortcomings for simply raising line pressure should get it. Mild manners during normal driving, then for moderate to full throttle nice and wild shifts.

    Pics from the install:

Nice Scott! I know my SS needs a tranny tune-up (at least mine does) With your set-up are you chirping into 2nd? Ive been considering Intense's kit, because it looks like the best "complete" kit out there. Im hoping the Intense pcm im ordering in the next day or 2 will help with the tranny issues. There is anything wrong with the tranny as far as damage, just want firmer shifts and the shift point raised like my GTP had.

Not just yet. I could if I wanted. I put my shift pressures back to stock after I installed. If I had raised pressures and this kit, it would easily burn them going into second. I just don't feel the need to put that kind of stress on the tranny.

I got ya. I wonder how the Intense pcm's shifting feels compared to the "performance shift" option on the gtp. I want to "feel" the shifts more compared to the performance shift setting, just not bark them or rip the dash out sort of thing. Are you running synthetic tranny fluid or standard fluid?

I don't mean to hijack this thread I just have a quick question. I came from owning a Dodge Avenger which meant constantly wondering how much longer until my tranny craps. How well built are the transmissions in the GPs. I have an '02 GP GT and it seems to be well built, do I need to watch it as closely as I did my Avenger?

The major killer to these trannies is the pressure control solenoid. If that goes it'll start slipping, and then banging in to gear. If you catch it early, not much damage is done. But if you let it go then it can toast it.

There are other issues that come with age (like TCC lockup function), but they're probably a little less common. This page has info on all the issues that we see out of these transmissions:

    4T65E Transmission Info

The owner of that site goes by "Trannyman95" on here. He is probably the most knowledgeable person you'll find on your transmission.

I am having trouble with my PCS I believe. It bangs hard into gear once it warms up after a few miles. Aamco Transmissions drove it and scanned it and said it's in perfect shape it never gave them any problems
