The only one who can accurately answer you question is the person/persons that worked on your car. Sometimes, when a car comes in needing transmission work, the transmission is replaced with an identical unit already re-built, this provides less down time for the customer, and more profit for the shop. Generally, when an item like a transmission gets removed from the car and rebuilt, special guidelines are followed during reassembly, updates are performed, worn or known high failure rate items are replaced, torque converters are changed too, (if the shop is good). If your transmission had a "shift kit" installed before being serviced by a transmission shop, and unless it was specifically mentioned to those working on the unit to retain the pre-rebuild "modification", there is really no way of knowing.

How does your transmission shift "feel" after the rebuild?
