    Hi,

I've replaced the forward band in my 4t65e transmission but I can't get the valve body back on. It appears like the drive sprocket is not on far enough (not seated) and is keeping the left side of the valve body from going on. I've taken everything back off and tried turning/wiggling/tapping the sprocket (with no chains on) but it doesn't go any further, and the gap between the sprocket and the trans looks way wider than any pictures I can find of a 4t65e. There is about 19mm between the back of the sprocket and the transmission case when I get it on as far as it will go. What am I doing wrong?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Tom
