If you start the car in park or neutral, about 3 seconds after the car has started, theres a very very high pitch screech... If you move it to reverse, it stops. Also goes for Drive. But if you put it in Neutral, it will do it again.

We started the car in park with the screeching and pushed and rocked the car against the parking pin and it stopped.

So any idea? Can't really drive it.

    Thank you.

I was thinking about that too. The flexplate looks fine though

Turned out to be the remote start malfunctioning.... Shouldve tried it BEFORE i bought a new starter. I thought it was the Bendrix messing up but apparently not. At least my car cranks quieter now.

Maybe the starter gear isn't being pulled back in or the return spring is getting lazy and allowing the gear to contact the flexplate? Here's a thread that may help. You have to remove the inspection cover from the bottom of the trans to check it.

Thats what i believed what was wrong but it ended up being the aftermarket remote start, for some reason, energizing the starter when it got clearance that the car was running.
