Received the letter in the mail today, says to contact the dealer on or after Oct 1, 2014 and remove everything from the key until it can be serviced.

I'm assuming the ignition switch is being replaced, anyone know if they're replacing keys to match the new switch?

I got my letter today too. On the back side of the first page it says, "What will we do?" They will install two key rings and an insert in the key slot or a cover over the key head on all ignition keys. It doesn't say anything about replacing the ignition, or replacing any keys.
I don't think I'll be having this done. Huge waste of time.

At least this goes to show that GMs eighty-eleventy-million-trillion recall was because most people are too ducking stupid not to hang over 9000lbs of feces on their keys, not because of faulty parts.
