Does anybody else find their headrest to be extremely uncomfortable? I have the ones that have the hole in the center and am wondering if the ones without the hole are more comfortable?

Yeah they're not meant for comfort, nor are they forward enough to use while driving. They're there so your head doesn't slam backwards in an accident. Also the hole in the middle helps in checking your blindspot, I'm not sure if thats a reason or not.

Anything is more comfortable that sticking your head into a stiff bordered hole.

    Yeah I think it's 04-05 that have it and 06+ don't.

My mother has an 04 with the holes and i have the 06 without the holes. I have to say... both are not comfortable, but they are always too far back (unless you're driving granny style with your boobs on the steering wheel) to really use them much. I really only use mine when parked.

I actually know why they stopped using the hole in the headrests... When former GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz appeared on Autoline Detroit here on local access tv a couple of years ago he went into a big rant about it. Basically he said it costed them alot of extra money to produce the different style of headrests. And when he asked why couldn't they just put one style of headrest across the board he got alot of pushback. He said it was really stupid, its not like people will refuse to buy the car if the headrest doesn't have a hole in it. He eventually made the decision to change this starting in the 06' model year. Only a handful.of cars used them. Apparently that was just one of the supid things that GM was doing to run itself in the ground. It was an excellent episode. I'll try to find a link...

Also, without the hole is defiantly more comfortable IMO
