I know the base model was just called sedan. I had one and just traded it back in one the lease and bought a G6. They were running some god awful good lease and I ended up getting the car for $98/mo with $1800/dn.

The "W" in W-body does not stand for wide. It is the platform name for the car. Hence, camaros and firebirds are called F-bodies. And the new Cam is on the Zeta platform. Which it shares with the G8. I believe Cav's and Sunfires were on J-body.

Back in the 50's and 60's Pontiac was slapping that tag on everything. The GTO, the GP... everything.

On the 2004's, the widetrack slapped all over the cars. But was done away with even before the 05's were released.

If anyone feels I am wrong, please correct.
On the 05+'s there was a base model, a GT model, a GT S/C Model, and the GXP. Also you could have gotten a base (non-GT) with the S/C.
