Hi, new to the site. I've searched for hours with no definitive answer. I plan on putting 1.9 Yella Terra rockers from Intense. They recommend using the Ls6 90# springs, but I've seen many people using the L76 springs or the Crow Cam 105# springs. What springs would be best for my car? What are the differences? Also, do I get the retainers and locks from Intense, ZZP, or GM? I have a 2004 gtp comp g with cai so far. I plan on doing headers, 3.6 mps, colder plugs, and an Overkill tune. Thanks for the help.

I have read that before but it still says Ls6 or L76. I was looking for more info, or personal experience.

You can get locks and retainers from anywhere, they're all about the same. Don't forget new valve seals as well.

Any of those springs will work, its a matter of personal preference. Intense recommends a 90# spring, so anything over that will be fine. If you are planning on intercooling, I would go for the 105# springs.

Thanks. I don't plan on Intercooling. Are the higher springs more stressful on the valve train? What are the benifits?

I guess what i'm trying to say is what would be the least stressful on my engine? The Ls6 (90#) springs?

i ran L76 springs with 1.9' yella's. 18k later, still good as new. I prefer the L76 springs because they have a slightly better spring rate than Ls6's. With them, your 1.9's you can set your shift points from 6,000-6,100

if you really want to be easy on the valve train get crow 105's

How would the 105s be easiest on the valve train? Get L76's, they're a great match for 1.9 rockers. However you should do 105's and a cam...

LS6 (90lb) Springs are actually the roughest on your valvetrain out of the 3...followed by I believe 105's, then L76's being the softest spring rate. On my XP motor 40k trashed a factory dampner.

Alright. So as long as I avoid the Ls6's my dampener should last longer? And L76's have the lowest spring rate making them less stressful? Or is it the 105#'s ? lol. Also, the manley retainers from Intense will work with all three springs, correct?
