You can't port a drive-by-wire throttle, its all electronically controlled and a bad idea, from past experience with other cars. Unless you have the tuner to adjust for a N* TB
This ain't no Japanese car things are different, UDP's and Phenolic spacer kits do wonders on the japanese motors but not really for us.
Would a Phenolic spacer work well on a GenV if you didn't feel like dumping the $$$$ into an intercooler and just wanted to keep away the heat soak from the S/C, or is it just a waste?
Get rid of the MSD coils and go back to stock coils. You'll thank me later.
they dont have the same output as the stock ones without the MSD ignition box like reptile has, then they are worth it if you have the box but if not, you are losing volts using the msd's
whats the specs on both??? bc it doesnt make sense. got a guy at my work that does dyno work. he said he needs to see the dynos to believe it.
wait till you have misfire issues.
then put your stock coils back on.
On other cars sure...but not MSD's...I have them because they look cool...that's it. If I built a performing car...they would have huge 10.4mm PRJ wires and new factory coils.
MSD anything is stupid...am I being a hypocrite because I have them? Yes...but I'm going to be taking them off soon anyways.
If your getting rockers, find someone to street tune your car, that will give you some gains.
no re-tune = minimal gains
so no one has specs on it just personal experience and hear say........?
If you want proof can you not compare it yourself?
looks like ill have to dyno it myself.
He's right to caution you -- they feed on children! Get a TEP or you'll end up replacing it soon enough if you drive like a douche.
I know right. I wish it were cammed. I think her track days are over. I only really run it hard if its a worth while race(I let the neon with a fart can exhaust think he was cool when he wanted to race, just not worth the gas). Im just holding it for about another yr til its paid off then im gonna look at something new (v8). Its all good the trans is warrantied 3yr/100k through the company i work for. Got a pretty sweet deal on it too
