ya i know that but i cant find them they have them at homedepo but there to small. i think im going to use fiber optic

You can get extruded or cast acrylic rods from these guys:

Acrylic Rods, Clear Plastic Rods, Plastic Rods: TAP Plastics

I used them before for a completely unrelated project and had good results with them. They don't seem to have an octagonal rod like a blind turn rod, but they're definitely high-quality optical grade plastics...
