    Ok so i have a 2005 gtp and i can not get it to start or even crank when i turn the key everu thing else works fine the only way i can get it to start is the take a wire and jump the starter but once i do that and the car is running ot runs fine but it wont shift it to gear ive tried doing the relearn thing but still nothing im going crazy sum one plz help

    on the starter is a small purple wire, small stud, have someone turn the key to crank while you test that wire for power. thats the signal wire that tells the starter to crank.

    04+ get the signal from the pcm. PCM looks for certain inputs. Let's jump back to the basics. Move the shifter into N, try to start it. Move it back to P, try to start it. The safety of N and P are often overlooked and sometimes the shifter isn't fully engaged. While you are shifting it around, .. Look at the information center to see what gear you are in. If you don't see N/P or other movement, then know you have a bad switch or wire.

    What a bad neutral safety switch or what wire?

    I dont think it shows on what gear your in on the dash
