I'm not familiar with the return less systems but if the pump is functioning could you disconnect the fuel filter and run a hose from that to your gas can?
Damn good idea
Just so happens, I went over this yesterday w/ a couple guys, check out "fuel pump shutoff" in general tech discussion...
Yes, 04+ doesn't have an external fuel filter. Only an in the tank filter that is not serviceable.
Thanks cheatah.
No prob. I'm going to try the Schrader valve/ jump fuel pump relay trick this weekend...P.S. I don't know how to insert a link into a post yet, so i'm glad you found it. I clicked on "fuel pump relay" in my post to you, and it went to a shopping site LOL...E.......
I actually questioned myself and couldn't remember if 04 still had an in line filter or not.
Mine's a weird one for sure, it's got a lot of random crap that it shouldn't. Lol
But I know that there is references for fuel filters that are inline, and not the return style, in the FSM for 04 and I've found them on RA.
Good question on how to jump out the relay. Wonder which ports you place a wire in
I'm thinking it's a relay underhood. I can PM you when/if I figure it out, if you'd like?

Yeah the relay is under the hood and that would be cool cheatah
Somewhat off topic but your post about spark and gas outside the engine made me think of it. I was replacing my fuel lines the other day and the needed to replace one of the nylon quick connect fitings and the parts salesman tried to tell me I could heat up the nylon lines with a lighter. I was like no I like the way my face looks. I decided to use a nylon compression fitting instead.
What a dufus! So if his face catches fire, I guess he would ask you to put it out with a shovel??
