So I have an 04 comp g and I've been told by multiple people that they never came with auto climate control. So I'm looking on craigslist through random grand prixs and I come across a 05 comp g and I look at the interior picture to find this

That looks to me to be auto climate control and paddle shifters on a non gxp car.

Can anyone confirm if comp g did come with auto climate.

The reason I want to know is my comp g is my family daily driver car and I like all the luxuries. And if they do come with auto climate then I will look for a new comp g.

dual climate control is like worthless. its not a make or break the deal thing.

It is for me. My wife's 2014 avenger has it and I like that u can just put it on a certain temperature and it stays there. But usually the only taps shift cars that have it are gxps

no idea if it came with or or not, nor would i give a single fvk either way, its a worthless feature. it would not stop me from buying a car. nor would i waste my time trying to swap it.

I have an 08 gxp now that had a blown up ls4 in it. My 3800sc motor will be going into it after I get the top end of the motor together.

i think you will be doing a lot of wire harness swapping to make that work.

I'm not sure I'd call it "auto" climate control, but more like dual zone control.

I don't think there is a auto button to select. But either way it can control both sides.

Comp G's were factory equipped with Tapshift. If your car doesn't have Tapshift it's not a Comp G.

The "auto"/dual climate control is, as said, worthless. Just because you set the temp doesn't mean the car will give you that temp. The car thinks it knows what you want. For instance, one evening it was a damp night and even at 60* it felt much cooler. I set the temp to 72* and the car gave me cool air. It did not start giving me the heated air I needed to warm the cabin until I set the temp at 80*.

in 2004 you could not get the dual mode as shown in your picture in any model. in 05+ the dual mode became standard in the GXP and optional GTP and GT.

Dual climate control didn't return until 05'. 04's don't have it no matter what the trim. It was optional from 05-08.

I'd also like to add that the auto function works well. I leave mine on 74° with the fan side on auto pretty much anytime the windows are not down.

Pull it from the GXP and see what is different in the harness, should be able to retrofit something but might require a ton of work.
