Another quick question what about the upgraded input clutch set from TEP. Adding another clutch and steel in the input clutch drum? What about clutch free travel? You don't want that to tight or they will burn up. Do I remove the wave plate? I know the rule of thumb is .010 clearance per clutch. so if I add another clutch and steel will I have a total of .050 clearance?

The steels in that "kit" are thinner. The stack up dimension stays the same.

Our 5 friction input clutch set includes 5 standard thickness frictions and either 4 thin steels and one stock steel OR 5 thinner steels (depending when it was ordered).
The input clutch drums vary quite a bit- and there are other variables. Clearance always looks ok with either of the above combinations of plates (leaving the factory wave plate in), but between the variations in drums and if your 3rd backing plate is warped it will have another effect- You should air check 3rd clutch and then check your Input clutch clearance. I like to see at least .030" with 3rd applied, you'd be surprised how much this effects how clearance measures. When 4th gear is applied the input clutch is OFF but the 3rd clutch remains applied- so it is important to check this to be safe.
