It needed an engine and rocker panels...put those on and drove it...then the rad blew and replaced that and top swapped it...then the pump died in the trans and I went all out...then needed to move for a job and sold it. :(

Well selling it by private party is better but you might lose the opputtunity on the Gtp! Its. A good price for it. I was dumb and pAid 9500 for mine off a dealer with 87k original miles. 2 year loan and im done in august

I agree with trade it in at a dealership, remove the stuff you added subs, radio, underglow ect. but not the remote start. Clean it up super good.

Re: WTT 2002 GRAND AM GT coupe for 2004 or 2005 grand prix gtp comp g AND CASH
damn thats awful. thats a intense payment plan. I'm afraid a dealership will lowball the **** out of me. I work a minimum wage job, its blue booked at 4K im sure a dealership would give me like 2,500. thats a big difference if I sell it myself and then find a comp G. thats 1,500 i could put towards my next car. I'm 19 with no credit score. If i sell my car i should have 6K not much but i was planning on getting a small loan. what do you guys think?

You will never get blue book from a car selling it yourself, unless you find a sucker.

Re: WTT 2002 GRAND AM GT coupe for 2004 or 2005 grand prix gtp comp g AND CASH
Yes sell your car first! I regret it man but i have a good paying full time job so i learned from my mistake. I traded in an 2001 eclipse gt for it and now i want a new car. I wasted my money and i could of bought a new car at the time and i would have been good. If i can do it all over again i would of never done it. Don't get me wrong i love my car but it just wasn't worth all the hassle. I put in alot of maintenence since ive had the car and i never feel like its 100 percent yet. Still have to replace steering rack again and supposedly gaskets leaking again. So i have had alot of thinking that im just wasting money!!!! Never again will i do it just some advice of my experience

Thanks fellas I appreciate it! Yeah I agree you won't get blue book. I'm going to ask blue book and go from there. I have decent upgrades with remote start underglow etc. I'll probably take the subs out and put the stock stereo back in. I'll let somebody talk me down to 36 or 37

Re: WTT 2002 GRAND AM GT coupe for 2004 or 2005 grand prix gtp comp g AND CASH
Wbody its just what gm calls em. Fbody are camaros etc. and i use premium gas. I used to run 87 on it tho and it runs fine. The 04 and up cam use 87 just the youll lose some performance so i switch on and off. When im good in money i use 91 feel much better. But idk if comp ga require 91. I don't think so

I've paid cash for all my cars except one. You'd be lucky to get $2500 out of your car realistically. Just look for a fixer upper

If your car is supercharged you have to use at least 91+ octane, regular 87 is only ok for n/a cars. Period.

Re: WTT 2002 GRAND AM GT coupe for 2004 or 2005 grand prix gtp comp g AND CASH
Thats true! I thought it was okay for the supercharged ones can too. No wonder my car was having acceleration issues. Now im all 91 and its runs great!
