Looking for carbon style gauges that were included with Special Edition trim. Likelihood of finding them is slim, but someone might be sitting on them.

How much are you looking to offer? I know where there is a cluster...
^^ just bought one from Jake91 last week. Might make a quick sale if you list it in the for sale thread though.
^ thanks again Jake.
I may buy it for myself... After seeing a few pics of them it is starting to grow on me.
SO wait did all Special Editions come with a different gauge cluster? If so what did they look like? I looked around but found no definitive info, I remember seeing them in dealerships when I was in high school and saw they had different gauges, but I thought that might have been an option for them.
This.... Google "2003 Pontiac Grand Prix limited edition" and you will get a few pics of the cluster. From what I have read, only the 2003 LE cars got this cluster. I have an 01 special edition and the cluster is the same as everything else. The look of the cluster is starting to grow on me and I may grab the one I know of that is for sale before it is too late...
Ok, that's what I though but there has been a ton of misinformation, I thought the misinformation was bad on LS1tech, sheesh the wbody world has gotten out of control. I was hoping I remembered correctly having seen maybe one or two Special Editions in dealerships, then again they were more than a z28 ls1 camaro and I kinda chuckled at why anyone would buy one over the better LS cars, yet here I own one out of nostalgia.
I will never own another 3800 powered car or wbody ever again. They are cheep cars that fall apart around the engines. Don't get me started on other fwd cars that were made around the same time, they all have issues and fall apart.
FWIW I sold a couple on ebay for $170 and $180 each.
FWD = Fail Wheel Drive, I am debating offloading this car before I put too much into it, I am a sucker for cars that need a little love, but this is seriously the roughest 76k mile car I have ever owned. I am contemplating picking up a 540i M Sport, a few around here with manuals and I am a sucker for a bimmer.
I'm curious: is your overstated anguish over the condition of your W-Body related to the style of your guages, or is this the only soapbox you could find in the entire forum? If your debating between resurrecting a Pontiac, or going with a BMW, your priorities must be severely out of order.
BMW's aren't much to write home about... Crawl under the ass end and make sure the subframe isn't rotting away... It would suck to be hammering down the road one day and the ass end decides it doesn't want to play anymore... Also read whispers that BMW may be involved in the emissions scandal that VW is in??
Correct on the '03 Limited Edition being the only GPs to get a different gauge cluster overlay.
I agree most GMs built in the 70's through '00s are poor quality, but if you aren't interested in cars that fall apart around the engine or require a lot of TLC, an out of warranty bimmer is definitely NOT a solution.
