Idk. I feel like an IC flow detect is neat. But not at all necesary or all that useful. Plus its stupid simple to put one together if you have half a brain.
My double roller cost 50 bucks to get machined.Any decent machine shop will be able to measure the factory camfer on the crank sprocket, and duplicate it on the new one.Double timing gaskets are just bandaids,why zzp even says to do that on there site is retarted.
So it's best to order the machined cover ? Do you also need the oil filter neck relocator or is that for the SFI balancer ?
i was sure you needed the SFI when removing the balance shaft when you do the double roller
Also what did you use to plug the hole ?
yeah, dont have to remove it.Just have to remove the gear for it.Altho, i drilled,tapped and plugged the oil feed when i removed my shaft.No oil filter neck extender required either.
Edit: also, the balance shaft isnt for rotating assembly balance, just engine vibration and harmonics for the passengers.I did also buy a machined oil cover for overkill (needed a pump kit anyway)
I had my oil pump cover machined .020 and I had the double roller gear machined to match the stock chamfer. Cost was $40.
Just to be safe I also run the thicker front gasket.
I'd recommend doing all 3 things. It's cheap insurance and ensure proper chain alignment and fit.
You can pick up a double roller for under $100, I forget where someone found them though.
With the XFI lobes just remember that they're very aggressive and you'll need to get the heads clearanced, run proper springs (probably 150s), measure for the correct pushrod lengths, and PTV clearance.
I might even be forgetting something.
Just off the top of my head, for a blower setup... something like;
3013/3035 on a 115+2 110*
