People told me to do the band clamps, I did 2 and ended up blowing my exhaust apart at the last clamp spot before the flange of the catback. But my exhaust also moves a lot more than it probably should. I put a band clamp on that spot and it's fine now. Plus, if you don't use the band clamps you will have exhaust leaks. I can see where I didn't have band clamps I have little black soot spots

theres two types of band clamps i know of.

this kind that is formed for the step up of where the pipes meet up.

or the flat kind, both will work.

I got the flat ones. As Scotty stated, they work fine. They are the only ones I could find

flat was all i could find local too. my pipe was coming out of my res, so it got a band clamp and never came off again.

I needed an 02 extension for the upstream 02. Thanks RED for posting about that because I forgot that I needed one. I didn't use copper rtv but may not be a bad idea

you can make your own. cut the harness side o2 plug off, then stretch the wires to make the factory harness longer. those wires are all copper and can be soldered. if you cut the o2 sensor plug off theres a ss wire that you cant solder.

Doing the headers and the basics this weekend, finally have everything... headers, clamps, new o2 and extender, plugs, wires, 180 t-stat, lower motor mount and trans mount, supercharger oil......Do I need to flip the swaybar with SD headers on my 06 ?
