Hello guise, I'm looking to buy a ZZP downpipe or a ubend delete. The downpipe needs to be catted. I have a N/A 3800 so it doesn't matter if it's 2.5 inches or 3 inches. My zip code is 77505. Used or new, as long as there's no leaks or anything that'll affect it. Thanks.

I have a ZZP catted 2.5" DP with around 7k miles on it.
It has TWO o2 bungs, one (pre-cat) has a 'cap' in it, so you can throw a wide-band in if wanted.
    This retails for $240 shipped
I could ship it to 77505 for $130.

Wide bands are the gauges right? It wont throw a CEL if I don't have a gauge?

A wide band reads your AFR and has nothing to do with the CEL, the cat will probably throw a CEL because its a highflow cat and you would need to get a tune so it doesn't kill your MPG or non foulers on the rear o2 to reduce flow to it.

Got you. Let me do my inspection first and then I'll look in my area to see who does tunes if I get a CEL. When tuning is it like buying that ZZP 1.0 PCM? Or can you tune it to get rid of that cel? NOOB question. I have to find who can do tunes in my area. Most guys just focus on trucks here.

Well tune isn't nessisary because you can get away using non foulers modified to fit the rear o2 to prevent the code and you're N/A and the tune would require you to run 91+. If the new DP throws a cat code do the non fouler trick. Use the websites search funtion and look it up

Only if your car is 2001+ would you need to tune out the rear o2 -admittedly, on earlier cars it could set the CEL, but it wasn't until 01+ that it caused the pcm to burn extra fuel to try and 'fix' the cat problem.

My car is a 99. Do you know what else I'll need to buy to bolt it on? And are there really any gains to installing a DP (performance, gas mileage). Thanks.
edit: I really don't plan on doing any more mods except for a diy intake and maybe, just maybe a HV3 insert.
This is where I'd put my mods, if I had any.

Reduces some KR which gives more power, probably a little MPG increase but I dont have one to tell you. Just be prepared to add non foulers to the o2 if the CEL comes on but because you got a 99 it shouldn't effect MPGs at all just the light.

Non-foulers can be bought on ebay or through almost any part store for under $10 -typically they come in a two pack.
The size of non-fouler needed is typically a special order so just know what size you need before ordering.

Cool. I'm going to get inspection done this pay period. I'll hit you with a message the end of the month if I'm going to buy it. No money for the prix this time.
