prj told me they dont hold up like aluminum, and are prone to leaking so im just going by that.

I've run a phenolic for 5k miles now with no issues.

You can not pry them apart, you must split them with a putty knife when disassembling them because of the RTV. Once installed they will work for years!

So far, still running mine from June 2010.

GMRBadass has an custom alum IC core AND a Bosch IC pump for sale. all ya need is a nice beefy fmhe from zzp or frozenboost.com and you are almost there!

There's a Gen 3 WBS intercooler brand new on eBay for $650 (should be able to use the gen 3 core with a gen V blower) just search 'grand Prix intercooler'

i run a gen v and a gen 3 intercooler with no problems. its not going to make hardly any difference and flows the same.
