Usually no. And the core charge can be returned to you if you bring in your old item and give it to them.

Some of them can. Then again it's been in the yard so there's a chance there's parts missing or they're damaged so it's really best for you to pay them a visit. Yes most places accept debit since that's a common payment method.

Chalk it yup as experience. Seriously if they have that many GP chances of you finding everything you need is very high. Just make sure you bring all the tools you need and they should have some sort of stand parts list so you can figure out if it's worth pulling or getting elsewhere.
