Thread: where to find a climate control panel 04 gp gt heated seats

hi im looking for a climate control panel for my 04 gp gt with heated seats. the blower and temperature selectors work fine but the vent selector imo is broken. with the ac off when i turn the vent selector to floor i hear the ac compressor kick on. right now the air only comes out of the defrost no matter what position the vent selector is in. i did get it to come out of the front vents once by turning the vent knob back and forth numerous times. but once again its stuck on defrost. so ive came to the conclusion that i need a climate control panel. any suggestions where to buy a new one? the used ones ive looked at so far werent in very good shape...

yea i suppose it could also be a blend door problem but im still curious as to why when i turn the vent selector to floor i hear the ac compressor kick in. i always thought the compressor was only suppose to turn on when the vent selector was in the defrost position or the ac was turned on, that is what got me thinking it may be a bad control panel? i also seen some threads where they say to check vaccum lines and the ball under the drivers side fender. i dont see any vaccum lines or a ball under the drivers fender, matter of fact i cannot locate any vaccum lines anywhere.. i am trying to fix this on my own if i can without having to pay a mechanic. well thanks for your advice i will take it into consideration...
