I'm looking for a 1997 Grand Prix GT 4t60e transmission diff.

I've got a 97 GTP HD diff that I'll be swapping into my 97 4t60e and I'm going to try and swap the 4t60e planetary gears onto the 4t65-HD diff so I don't have to change the larger ring gear in the transmission housing. I could use the one off of my trans but I'd like to get it all together first, and double check it'll work, before I attempt the swap on the car.

If you've got one let me know how much you want for it shipped to Ontario, Canada.

    Mike

Mike...watch out.. IIRC GM kept changing pitch etc all through the run of the 4T60
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

If I can find a 97 grand prix GT 4t60 than I can make sure it'll work before I tear my car apart. This is what I've got so far, all from a 1997 GTP, 4t65-HD.

If I can find the below highlighted parts from a 97 GT 4t60, then I should be able to verify that it'll all go back together with the swapped differential gears highlighted on the right side of the picture.

I don't want to get it all torn apart and then realize that its not going to work.

I don't need one anymore, I put the HD unit in today.

I didn't even have to swap the gears, the HD unit just fit right on. I guess the 1997 4t60e is just like the newer 4t65e GT trans for swapping to the HD diff.

Pretty much yes. Only thing I can recall is there is a circlip on the end of the output shaft instead of a compression clip. 98+ got a compression, 97 had a circlip.
